new DB380/DB9 owner in Utah

Hey all. Glad to be aboard.

I purchased a DB380 just after they came out. As far as I can determine, mine was #30 to leave the factory. It has become my primary carry piece, although it doesn't like JHP ammo, so I use FMJ for carry.

Last week I purchased a DB9 and LOVE IT. I already shot 50 rounds of Remington UMC 115grain JHP with flawless performance, except on light strike. Had to recock the half-cock hammer and pull again. I attribute this to breaking in and am not yet concerned about it. The Remington will likely become my carry ammo. It's plenty hot, even tho it's not +P, which is okay with me.

The DB9 is now my primary carry piece.

I like to collect North American Arms small firearms, hence the name.

Welcome! Being a collector of NAA, you may already know this but DB had a DB32 in the works that would use the .32 NAA round. If memory serves, it would basically be the DB380 with a barrel chambered for the .32. Not sure if that's still planned or not. Here's one thread on here that mentions it... viewtopic.php?f=11&t=52

Thanks for the welcome!

I had not heard that about the DB32NAA. That'd be cool. I own an NAA Guardian .32NAA and would probably get a DB made for that round. I wonder if you could just get a replacement barrel for a DB380?

The DB320 (32NAA) is still in the works. It should just be a barrel change for the DB380 and when we do have them there will be an option to just buy the barrel. The problem right now is getting the 32NAA ammo so we can test them.

You should be able to get .32NAA ammo from Corbon or directly from NAA. I had also heard another manufacturer was making them, but I don't recall which one. I can't imagine everybody is out.... Hmm. I've got 3 or 4 boxes myself.

I would DEFINITELY be interested in obtaining a .32NAA barrel for my DB380!
