Just Got Word the DB32s Arrived

Just Got Word the DB32s Arrived

Postby Ljutic » Thu Aug 25, 2011 1:56 pm

I got all excited when I saw that DB was going to produce a 32. Got more excited when I found out it was going to be .32NAA since I was hoping that it might be possible to buy a .32NAA barrel and just use my DB380 frame/slide/mags. I considered getting rid of my DB380 after getting my DB9, but I've held on to my DB380 just for this reason. So, Buds just let me know they got the DB .32NAA in stock, but I'm not really willing to pick up a complete 3rd Diamondback at this point. If you have been waiting on this gun, go check Buds right now.

This question is more for Jason, will we see the .32NAA barrel offered in the DB store? You guys already sell the comp barrels so you must be set up for sales like these. If so, let us know. I'm ready to order or at least put in my deposit for future delivery.

Pressure wise, I know that the .32NAA is high. Quite a bit higher than even .380 +P. I'm curious to know what DB did to the platform (if any) to accommodate the higher pressures.

25700 vs 21500 doesn't seem that big of a leap when you consider 9mm runs 35000. They would have to use the 380 barrel blank to create the 32 so barrel wall thickness would be greater. As long as the chamber was cut correctly, I can't see pressure being a problem, but I'm just guessing.

What are the benefits of the 32 over the 380? Why doesn't DB's very own site have any info on this.

No real benefit over the .380, but a big gain against the standard .32acp. It's on the DBF Facebook Page. The only real advantage is the cool factor of having two calibers you can shoot from the same gun.

Jason mentioned once before that their plan was to eventually offer the barrel only as an option for DB380 owners.

We shipped the 27 DB320s on order from distributors on Wed this week. I will have the barrels up in our webstore by the end of today for individual purchase.
